When completing a Gamma online training course, the system includes an inactivity timer that will automatically log you out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
If you’re being logged out more frequently than expected, there are a few common causes. Use the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Check for Multiple Open Windows or Tabs
Having multiple instances of the training portal open at the same time can trigger inactivity timeouts.
What to do:
- Close all open browser windows or tabs with the training portal
- Reopen the training using only one tab or window
- Continue your course from there
2. Clear Your Browser Cache
Stored cache and cookies can sometimes interfere with session activity.
What to do:
- Log out of the training portal
- Close your browser
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies (follow your browser’s instructions)
- Reopen your browser and log back in
3. Try Incognito / Private Browsing Mode
Browser extensions or saved data can occasionally cause session issues.
What to do:
- Open a new Incognito (Chrome) or Private (Safari/Firefox/Edge) window
- Log in to the training portal
- Attempt to complete your course
